Meet Mehera

Mehera Nori (she/her) is the interim managing attorney for Pride Law. For over a decade, Mehera has dedicated her time and energy to advocating for underserved and underrepresented communities. As a queer Indian-American woman with ties in the Seattle area and the San Francisco Bay Area, Mehera understands the uniqueness of navigating intersectional identities within a changing landscape. Mehera chose a career in law with the hopes of being able to empower others -- especially members of queer communities, immigrant communities, and communities of color -- and she has worked hard to gain the skills and resources to become a caring and effective advocate for the people.

Mehera's past work includes extensive legal aid work with regional nonprofits, such as the AIDS Legal Referral Panel and Bay Area Legal Aid in the San Francisco Bay Area, where areas of expertise included eviction defense and tenant advocacy. She additionally has significant experience working in small firms and in government on issues related to estate planning and elder law, and has also developed a compliance skillset with regards to healthcare and privacy law. Mehera enjoys having a broad range of legal knowledge and keeps herself up to date on changing laws and policies.

Mehera received her Bachelors of Arts degrees in political science and Spanish language and literature from Whitman College. She received her legal education and JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Mehera is an active member of the Washington State Bar and is provisionally licensed under the California State Bar.

When not assisting clients with their legal needs, Mehera enjoys visual arts and illustration. She has participated in zine events, taught visual arts workshops both virtually and in-person, and has been published in a handful of chapbooks and comics anthologies.

At Pride Law, Mehera supports clients with estates/end-of-life planning and other general civil legal matters. She holds compassion and empathy for all her clients and feels strongly about helping people feel comfortable with end-of-life planning. To work with Mehera, contact
