Get to Know Dallas

Pride Law, PLLC offers a variety of legal services including criminal defense, business strategy and formation, and representation for athletes, artists, and performers in the entertainment industry.

Dallas (they/them), formerly known as Lisa, started their legal career after working in law enforcement and realizing that their interactions with the public were fleeting. They were not the effective advocate they had hoped to be for their community. They still wanted to fulfill their vision of working in the field of law, policy, and procedure. So, they started their college journey and subsequently enrolled in law school. They were a non-traditional student and first generation college goer. Dallas passed the Washington bar exam on the first attempt, achieving an exam score high enough to practice law in any of the 33 participating UBE states.

Soon after passing the bar they assisted a prominent Seattle Civil Rights Attorney with police accountability cases, while seeking full-time employment within the criminal justice realm. Their goal was to learn the landscape of criminal laws and get acclimated to the nature of the justice system in the great northwest. Dallas was hired on as a King County prosecutor within months of passing the bar exam. There, Dallas was able to further hone their skills to assist clients involved in criminal investigations and prosecutions.

While criminal law is an important area for Dallas, they also have a passion and interest in leadership and business, as well as the entertainment industry. Often enough, these interests merge for clients. This is where Dallas can play a role they were intended for as they have extensive entrepreneurship experience. Prior to attending law school and starting Pride Law, PLLC, Dallas started a small business in the health and fitness

industry to assist them through college. While in law school Dallas aligned with Sofar Sounds, a global music and entertainment franchise, and started a chapter in Phoenix, AZ. They were the city leader and had the task of locating bands and performers, negotiating performance terms, and organizing venues for them to perform at.

Dallas is a lifelong athlete and outdoor enthusiast. They spend much of their free time volunteering as a coach for several soccer leagues. They also serve as volunteer general counsel for a sports industry company.

As a lesbian and member of the Latinx community, Dallas is familiar with challenges and accustomed to facing adversity head on. They implement transparency and great communication with their clients. They honor their ethical obligations and take pride in their work.
